Chapter 3 – The Wedding Dress
The Wedding Dress
As girls, we all dream of wearing a wedding dress, walking down the aisle with the one we love. But not everyone gets to live that dream.
Some girls spend their entire youth waiting for a promised hand to hold till the end of the road. Yet the one who made that promise is no longer by their side. The wedding dress remains pure white, untouched by time, but their hearts are stained with loneliness.
Some have once walked beside someone, but life didn’t grant them lasting happiness. One day, they wear the wedding dress again, but the person standing beside them isn’t the one they once longed for. Some love stories are as beautiful as a dream, only to burst like a soap bubble.
And then, there are those who never once get to wear a wedding dress—not because they aren’t worthy of happiness, but because fate is cruel and denies them a complete love. Or perhaps for reasons untold, they had to let go and give up their chance at happiness. Silently, they watch someone else’s joy, smiling softly and wishing peace for the one they once loved, while their own hearts carry the weight of shattered pieces.
The wedding dress is seen as a symbol of love and happiness, but for many, it remains a distant dream. Someone once told me: “Loving sincerely doesn’t always mean being loved back, and dreams don’t always come true.”
Some women will forever be brides in the dreams they keep to themselves—where they wear the most beautiful wedding dress, smile alone, and quietly say goodbye to a love that never was.
The End.
