In a small street on the outskirts of the city, there is an old car repair shop that is always crowded with customers. The shop owner is named Minh, Mr. Minh is over 45 years old, a simple man, with a thin body, but his hands are strong and healthy because he has been in the profession for decades. Mr. Minh is not only famous for his good skills, but people also know him for his kindness that few people have.

One day, it was pouring rain, while Mr. Minh was repairing an old truck, a young girl rushed into the shop. Her body was soaked, her face showed obvious anxiety.

Seeing a customer coming, Mr. Minh stopped working, looked up and asked:

– What do you need?

The girl said urgently:

– My car broke down on the road, and I need to go to the hospital urgently, my mother is in the emergency room there. The doctor asked me to come to sign the surgery papers. Can you help me check if there is any problem?

Mr. Minh did not ask any more questions, took a towel to wipe his hands, then put on an old raincoat, and said to the girl:

– Take me to see what’s wrong with it.

The two of them walked to the broken car. After a while of checking, he said to her:

– My car only has minor damage, water got into the engine and died. But some parts need to be replaced to avoid any unfortunate events.

Seeing that, the girl quickly said:

With the girl’s approval, Mr. Minh quickly repaired it, despite the heavy rain. When he finished, the girl asked how much it would cost to pay, Mr. Minh wiped his hands and replied:

The girl searched her pocket and found that she had no cash, and quickly said:

– Oh no, I didn’t bring any cash. Do you accept money transfers?

– Yes, let me read you the account number.

– Yes, wait for me to open the banking application.

Mr. Minh smiled gently and said:

– If I was afraid, I wouldn’t have let you go.

The girl thanked him and drove away.

A week passed, thinking that the girl would not return, suddenly a taxi stopped in front of the workshop,

The person who got out of the car was none other than the girl from Hom.

– Hello, uncle! Do you remember who I am?

Mr. Minh searched his memory, but could not remember who it was, then the girl smiled and said:

– I am the girl whose car broke down that rainy day. Today I brought money to pay you.

As if remembering the person who had just arrived, Mr. Minh happily said:

– Ah! So it’s you, how is your mother?

– Yes, my mother is much better now, luckily thanks to you, I came in time. I’m sending you the money to fix the car, and a little gift, please accept it.

Mr. Minh smiled gently,

– Okay, I’ll take the box of cakes, the rest of the money is there to take care of my mother. Driving a taxi doesn’t make much money. The surgery fee is quite high, keep it to take care of my mother.

The two talked for a while, then the girl asked permission to leave.

Many years later,

Mr. Minh was now old and weak, unable to continue his work, so he had to quit. He sat in front of the door looking out at the workshop, pensively watching the young men working hard to fix the bike, then sighed and thought about the old days.

One day,

A postman brought him a letter. Holding the letter in his hand, he wondered who sent it to him. When he opened it, he realized that the letter was from the girl who had sent it to him years ago. In the letter she wrote:

“Dear Uncle Minh, I thank you for your kindness in the past. Thanks to that, I have tried step by step, from a driver, now I have become the director of a taxi company, not only that, I have opened my own auto repair shop. What you have done for me, helped me realize that; auto repair is not just about fixing machines, but also helping people in need. I have imitated you in helping people in difficulty and misfortune. I did not expect that those small actions would help me get to where I am today. Without you, there would be no me today. Thank you, my teacher”

After reading that letter, Mr. Minh was moved to tears. He did not expect that a small action of his that day would sow the seeds for such a bright future. He did not expect that his kindness would open the door for another person.
